At Calvary Church, we want to push outside our four walls into our community. We seek to be a blessing to those around us through acts of kindness. Throughout the year, Calvary Church offers many opportunities to get involved in service to our community and beyond.
The Church Has Left the Building
Sunday October 19th
On Sunday, October 19th, Calvary Church will leave campus to serve in the 19th Annual Walk for AIDS. Instead of normal Sunday morning services, we encourage each and every person to join this effort in some way. Below are several ways to get involved. Then we will unite together for one special worship service at 5pm on Sunday evening. Don't miss out on this opportunity to make a difference and be SALT in our community.

19th Annual Walk for AIDS

The Walk for AIDS is a 10 kilometer walk to raise money and awareness for AIDS prevention in Santa Clara County. The walk begins and ends at Discovery Meadow downtown San Jose on Sunday, October 19th and will continue on sidewalks along the Guadelupe River. Other Opportunities to Serve on October 19th
If there is a reason why you cannot participate in any of the activities at the AIDS Walk on October 19th, here are a few other projects you can get involved in:
 |
House of Hope
We need 20 to 25 people to help paint the exterior, clean up the grounds, and do minor repairs to the House of Hope - a distribution center to people in our community needing food and clothing. If you are interested please register via email at mturner@calvarylg.com |
Cookies for Community Heroes
We need 20 to 25 people to help bake cookies, assemble them in baskets and deliver them to local police, fire stations and schools. This simple event has brought more response from the community as an act of kindness and compassion. If you are interested please register via email at mturner@calvarylg.com |
