This fall, child care workers for infants - kindergarten are needed for Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-11:30am for our MOPS and Women’s Bible Studies programs.This is a paid position. BACKPACKS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR STUDENTS
AUGUST 8th - 22nd
Imagine an elementary school student walking into class and finding their seat. The teacher asks each student to take out a pencil from their backpack. But what if this student has neither?
Middle School ministries is making sure this doesn’t happen. Last year we collected over 200 backpacks and supplies that were delivered to Capri Elementary students and other students in need. Would you help us again. Over the next three weeks we will be collecting backpacks and supplies.
EACH STUDENT NEEDS:
| 1 Backpack |
1 Dozen No. 2 Pencils |
3 glue sticks |
| Elmer¹s glue (4 oz) |
2 pencil erasers
(pink or white) |
Set of washable markers |
Box of crayons
(16-24 count) |
Set of colored pencils |
Folder with pockets |
| 1 pair of student scissors |
2 red pens |
2 blue or black pens |
| Box of Kleenex |
Ruler with inches and centimeters |
One highlighter |
| Small pencil sharpener with cover |
Pencil box or pouch |
Wide ruled notebook - 70 pages |

SHINING STARS RESPITE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
August 14th | 5pm - 9pm
Every other month, Shining Stars hosts a respite for children with special needs and their siblings. Shining Stars needs special "tenders" to love on these children and have fun with them for the evening. Star Tenders are needed for each child to receive the one-on-one attention he or she needs.
No experience is needed. Nurses and trained staff are there to assist. If you can help, contact Joyce Roberts at 408-559-3337 or joyceconnection@aol.com.
