Daylight Savings Time

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN...

Daylight Savings Time begins this Sunday, Nov 1st at 2:00am. It's fall, so set your clocks BACK one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night.

Services will begin promptly at 9:00am on Sunday morning. Get that extra hour of sleep and join us this Sunday for worship!

Life Transformation Group

NEED A BOOST?

Beginning Sunday, November 8, Calvary Church will offer a 5-week class to help start a Life Transformation Group. Learn what LTGs are, how to get started and how they work best. Explore Groups GOT QUESTIONS?
BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY
WITH AN EXPLORE GROUP

Tatyana grew up in a home that didn't recognize religion of any kind. As citizens of a communist country, her parents wouldn't even allow her to attend church. But she was curious. God has to exist. As an adult, church scared her. She just had so many questions.

Tatyana heard about a group that met outside the church for people just like her! Those who had questions about God and wanted to explore faith. The group changed her life.

"I was able to express my opinions, and no one would put me down," Tatyana explained. "The word given by my spiritually advanced friends gave me strength to go on a daily basis and survive and grow closer to Jesus Christ.

Katie, a facilitator of an Explore Group, discovered that the group even helped her grow in her faith. "I could take my own gloves off and get into the tough questions," she said. "We could leave without agreeing with other but getting a biblical perspective. It's a great chance to discuss things with people who weren't ready for a traditional Bible study."

Calvary Church has several Explore Groups that meet every week in places like homes and coffee shops around our community. But what about you? People who attend our church already, but have questions about Christ and are still exploring?

Beginning Sunday, November 1st, Calvary Church will offer a weekly Explore Group on campus at 10:45am. If you have questions, this Explore Group is a safe place for you to explore answers with others who are asking similar questions. Follow the question marks to room C-225 on Sunday to begin your journey.

Cambodia

PRAYER REMINDER:
Calvary GO Team to Cambodia
(October 28 - November 14)

For the next two weeks, seven people from Calvary Church will join Twin Lakes Church to extend the love of God in Cambodia. During this time, the team will build a new church in a rural village and lead a children and youth program. Pray for team members as they travel and minister to others.

Got Candy?

Halloween is almost over and there's candy everywhere. Literally. Our children have gathered more than they could ever eat. The stores have slashed prices to get rid of the extra merchandise.

Adopt-a-Chaplain can help you unload some of that unwanted (or unneeded) chocolate and sugar. During the next two Sundays, AAC will be collecting candy for our troops. These sweet treats are something our troops look forward to receiving every year through our chaplains.
