GOT TALENT?
It's a casting call! Kid's Club is a great place for grown-ups who have not lost the child inside. This month, you can impact children at Capri Public School on Wednesdays from 12:30-2:30pm. The families of these children are so excited about this ministry. If kids jazz you, contact Joy Yankey at jyankey@calvarylg.com

Calvary Church Family,
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope over the next several days you have the opportunity to slow down and as the psalmist writes, "praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving" (Psalm 69:30).
I want to call your attention again this week to a very special holiday experience we are calling, "Letting Go." This past Sunday, we showed a video (Click here to view video) in all three services inviting you to join us as we take a journey with the early church - selling our some our possessions to meet the needs of those in our local and extended community. Pull out that old set of golf clubs, dust off the extra bike, or decide to let go of something even more substantial, and sell it!
Our goal per individual or family is a mere $40! Bring the proceeds to the church and designate it under "other: Letting Go" on an offering envelope. Calvary Church will use the money to offer support to those in need. Then, join us on Christmas Eve as we celebrate Jesus, the light of the world, and share stories about how God has moved through our church to extend his light outside our four walls.
Watch the video now (Click here to view video) and remember to get involved - we only have a few short weeks to pull this off!

HELPING OTHERS GET THROUGH THE SEASON
Throughout the year, Calvary Church assists people with basic like food, fuel, utilities, rent, insurance, medical expenses, professional counseling and much more. This assistance is made possible by donations made to our benevolence fund.
Each year in November, Calvary Church does something extra special. We are able to give a few members of our family who are in special need a confidential gift to make their holiday season extra special. The amounts are not that large, but to someone who doesn't have much, it makes a big difference. Some reported that checks arrived just when unexpected bill or expense came due. Others have used these gifts to purchase food or gifts for loved ones.
Your giving makes a difference and helps to add cheer to the season. Thanks for giving!.

MEET ANDREW WEST
STUDENT MINISTRIES PASTOR
How are students at Calvary Church catching the vision of outreach to our community?
Student Ministries is leaving the building. As we began to look closer at the life of Jesus, things began to change. Students are looking for ways to reach out. They want to do more than just play the part of church. They want to be the church!
This week, Calvary and non-Calvary students took time to collect food at Lunardi's for the House of Hope. Shoppers were shocked that students would spend their time to help others. On December 10th, Student Ministries will coming together to make Christmas for Everyone, a student-run, student-led event designed to help raise money for those in need. These students are looking beyond themselves to others, and pointing them to Jesus.
One student recently told me, I am not sure what I can do for others, but I am going do something.
