One-on-One Connection
Connection 1
Offering connection and encouragement to someone new to the church and/or area; Helping her find a niche, a Sunday School Class or Nurture Group, a Bible Study, a ministry, some friends, chat occasionally until she’s settled – or find a doctor, a specialty food store, etc. (Can be limited to phone contact.)
Connection 2
Helping women who have been at Calvary for years, as well as newcomers, find connection on a variety of levels, in a variety of ways:
a. Providing a welcoming, caring, listening ear, someone to share spiritual insights with, a prayer partner and encourager, either short or long term. (Can be limited to phone contact.)
b. Matching women who are looking for Christian friendship, which could include all of the above, and/or: to share a hobby, attend a women’s event or concert, a drive to the beach, etc. in an informal, unstructured and flexible relationship. |
